Turbulence rheometer

The unit is designated for work in testing laboratories where there is a possibility of formation of steam-air and gas-air mixtures of IIB categories (heavy hydrocarbons) as per the classification of State Standard (GOST) 30852.11 and State Standard 30852.5, and in compliance with State Standard 30852.13. The operating principle of the device is based on determining the mass of model hydrocarbon fluids when they do not contain any antiturbulence additives (hereinafter referred to as ATA) and the mass of the same fluids when they contain various concentration levels of ATA, with the fluid flowing through the cross-section of a capillary pipe without any pressure. The results of measuring the mass of the simulative fluids allow estimating the efficiency factor of the ATA being tested. The turbulence rheometer enables to perform comparative laboratory testing of the quality of ATAs by different manufacturers in identical hydrodynamic conditions. According to State Standard 15150, the tolerance of the device to climate effects conforms to the climate category «moderately cold» and placement category 4.2.
